Diamond Valley Miniature Railway

Miniature Railway

As one of the most travelled miniature railways in Australia, this popular attraction is a must-have experience for kids of all ages and is a not-for-profit enterprise, run by volunteers.

Visitors can enjoy a 15 minute ride along 2km of track. See our picture gallery

The bushland setting of this park includes two adventure playgrounds, both with covered barbeque areas and tables and accessible toilets. Extensive walking paths span the park and run through the railway and down to the Yarra River where there is an observation platform and impressive bridge across the river.

The miniature trains depart from Diamond Valley Station. Enter through the main gate and turn left at the roundabout. Ample parking is available onsite.  Alternatively, you can catch public transport. The 902 Chelsea or 513 Glenroy bus can take you there and departs from Eltham Railway Station, contact Public Transport Victoria for bus timetables

Eltham Lower Park Accessible Play Space opposite the railway features a continuous pathway, all-abilities harness seats on swings and flying fox, elevated sand trays for wheelchair access, plus tactile panels with Braille and Auslan symbols throughout the site and sculptures.
