Edendale is a short walk from the Eltham North Adventure Playground along the bike trail over the Diamond Creek.

Filled with fun and informative activities you can do all year round, there is no need to make a booking just drop in for a visit and choose from a range of self-guided activities.

You can:

  • Watch the chickens, goats, sheep and pony grazing in paddocks, demonstratinggood water and grazing management techniques
  • Visit the display in the reception area to see our blue-tongue lizards, long-necked turtle and spiny-leaf insects
  • View various art works installed around the farm such as the Eltham Copper Butterfly made from recyclable material
  • Wander the gardens and see seasonal vegetables and sustainably-grown fruit
  • Visit the indigenous plant nursery or enjoy the spiral vegetable garden
  • Let your children explore the free activities around the farm
  • See composting and worm farms in action
  • Let your children delight in the free activities around the farm
  • Have a picnic in one of the shelters or open lawn spaces, bring a rubbish-free lunch or visit Cafe Eden.

Guided activities during school holidays include holding animals such as guinea pigs. There are baby goats and chicks at certain times of the year.

No dogs allowed on site and no bread is to be given to the animals. There’s plenty to explore so come and enjoy this fantastic family attraction.

Opening Hours: 9.30am - 4.30pm daily except Christmas Day, extreme and code red fire danger days. The gate to the internal car park will be locked at 5pm. All other entrances are locked at 4.45pm. Check website for Café Eden opening times.
